Toke Makinwa Speaks On Identity Of Baby Daddy

Nigerian media personality, Toke Makinwa, has dismissed a comment about her baby daddy being a Muslim.

Abia Radio News recalls that Toke welcomed her first child, a baby girl, in August 2025 and named her Yakira Eliana, but failed to reveal the identity of the father.

Reacting to Toke’s TikTok post, a fan claimed that the father of her baby is a Muslim because of her name, Yakira.

The fan wrote, “I think Yakira’s dad is a Muslim.”

In response, Toke Makinwa said her baby is not a Muslin and her daughter’s name is a Hebrew name, which means “beloved, precious, and someone of great worth.”

She wrote, “He is not. Yakira is a Hebrew name. Beloved, precious and someone of great worth”.

Meanwhile, Toke recently opened up about how becoming a mother brought her healing.

It would be recalled that Toke lost her parents in a fire incident when she was a child.

In a post via X, Makinwa said her daughter, Yakira Eliana, is helping her heal from childhood trauma and grief she thought she had buried a long time ago.

She wrote, “My daughter brought me healing, she is daily healing parts of me I didn’t even know needed healing, healing from my childhood trauma, from grief I thought I had dealt with a long time ago. God knew I needed this.”
