Abia North politics is witnessing a new wave of hope as Chief Dr. David Ogba Onuoha (Ugo Ena), a leading aspirant for the senatorial seat, has declared that the time has come for power to truly return to the people.

In a stirring declaration, Ugo Ena, who is also a strong supporter of Governor Alex Otti’s transformative leadership, emphasized that politics must no longer be treated as business but as service to humanity.

He noted that for years, the people endured hunger, neglect, and voicelessness while a few politicians reduced governance to personal interest. According to him, the “day of remembrance” is fast approaching when citizens will look back at the years of suffering and also at the dawn of a new leadership that placed service above selfishness.

“One day, the people will remember that real power was never in the hands of politicians but in their own. They will remember the hunger once endured, the darkness that settled over their towns, and the hopes that once felt forgotten. They will also remember the dawn that broke those nights, and the leaders who chose service over self,” he declared.

The Abiriba-born businessman and philanthropist insisted that the people of Abia North must rise, not in fear but in faith, and align with leaders who are committed to renewal, equity, and service.

According to him, the rising political awareness across the region shows that the people will no longer allow themselves to be voiceless. He maintained that Abia North deserves a senator who would not just occupy a seat in Abuja but amplify the voices and aspirations of the people.
