Gov. Otti Reaffirms Commitment to Culture and Creative Economy at Abia Talent Hunt Grand Finale
The Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, has reiterated his administration’s unwavering commitment to promoting culture, arts, and the creative economy as key drivers of youth empowerment and economic transformation in the state.
Governor Otti, represented by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Prof. Kenneth Kalu, made the declaration at the grand finale of the Abia Beyond Creativity Talent Hunt held at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Secretariat, Umuahia.

He described the initiative as one of the flagship programs of his administration, designed to discover, empower, and showcase the rich creative potential of Abia youths. The governor emphasized that the state places great value on youth creativity, noting that arts, culture, and innovation form critical pillars for Abia’s future economic prosperity.
Prof. Kalu encouraged participants to believe in their abilities and to see themselves as vital contributors to the transformational agenda being driven by the Otti-led government.

In his remarks, the Commissioner for Culture and Creative Economy, Hon. Matthew Ekwuribe, said the talent hunt aims to promote innovation, cultural excellence, and creative expression as fundamental to repositioning Abia’s creative industry for global relevance. He commended Governor Otti for his continued support and visionary leadership.
Also speaking, the Commissioner for Sports and Youth Development, Hon. Nwaobilo Ananaba, lauded the participants for showcasing their God-given talents, describing the event as a celebration of creativity and innovation. He urged the youths to continue nurturing their skills and using their talents to make meaningful contributions
